Alex 3 years 8 months and Zach 15 months

Well we are finally seeing a glimmer of spring!  There were a couple days this past month where I dressed the boys in shorts.  We just got a cold front this past couple days where it got down below 30 but I'm really hoping that is the last cold front for this Spring.

Zach is really bad about keeping socks on his feet and when we were going outside I couldn't find some socks so not sure if you can tell but he has gloves on his feet!  :)

Zach's first time at the park.  He loved the slide but he got to the point where he liked climbing up it more then he liked sliding down.

The boys were actually playing together (very briefly).  They are getting to the point where they want to play with the same things and that is starting to cause problems.  The toy isn't a desired toy until the other starts playing with it then they both really want to play with it!!  So it begins....

Lucas (our nanny Maggie's son) had to come to our house for a few weeks.  It was actually a good thing for everyone.  Alex enjoyed having someone to play with, Lucas LOVED playing/following Alex around, and Zach well he is always happy to have more people around.  I think Lucas also showed improvement in his speech and Zach also picked up some words and behaviors that Lucas was doing (like sitting in a chair).

Zach LOVES our next door neighbor's dog, Blaze.  He gets so excited when he sees him and I think he tries to say his name.  He pets him on the head and face and Blaze is really patient about it all.

Grandpa Mikos and NeyNey came to visit at the end of February.  Alex had a blast as usual with Ney Ney and probably wore her out!!  We visited Legoland for the first time.  It was fun for all!

Zach is starting to eat with utensils.  He is getting pretty good at it but gets frustrated at times.  My baby isn't such a baby anymore!

Zach's first trip to the Merry Go Round!   He liked it!!

They both enjoyed the ride in the Coal car of the mall Train.

We didn't really tell everyone about it but in early March Alex got ear tubes for the second time.  It really was a non-event.  Just Alex and I went this time and we were in and out quickly.  Alex is such a good boy at this kind of thing and we actually had a good time!  All the nurses were impressed with how good he was during the whole procedure.

Alex told daddy that he needed to be responsible and that it was his job to vacuum!  He did a pretty good job!!

Zach at Lucas' second birthday party!

He insisted on eating his cupcake with just his mouth - no hands!  Not sure why!

Alex trying to hit the piƱata!

Here is a picture from one of the beautiful days this past month!  Alex insisted on wearing MY white sox had - even though he has his own!

Alex 3 years 7 months and Zach 14 months

As many of you know Atlanta was in the news at the end of January because of the horrible way they handled a snow storm (a whole 2 inches tops).  Thankfully neither Pete nor I were caught up in the mess and were working from home that day.  I was actually suppose to go into the office that day but had decided it didn't make sense since the snow was suppose to start falling around noon.  Why others didn't come to that same conclusion knowing that we live in the south and us southerners can't handle the snow is beyond me!  Here are some pictures of the kids in the snow!

As you can see Alex really enjoyed the snow!

Zach not so much!

Daddy and Alex had fun outside while Zach and I stayed inside most of the time!

Pete showing Alex how to make a snow angel.
Alex wasn't really into it and wouldn't lay on the ground all the way.

We were basically stuck in the house from Tuesday afternoon until Friday morning.  Zach learned to climb on objects!!

A few mornings in a row Zach woke up with some crazy hair!

My cool dude!

Zach has started to walk this past month.  It started with him getting around pretty well by pushing things.  Then he was finally able to take a few steps on his own.  Then by the end of the month he was running around while pushing things.

So Atlanta's second snow storm people were a little more prepared (as if we were going to be locked in our homes for weeks).  The bread was gone from the shelves!  I went to the store the night before the storm and people were going crazy, it was really amusing.  I brought a shopping cart in from the parking lot and people were literally running for it as I let go of it.

We did actually have a snow drift!

Zach enjoyed the snow more the second time around.

I'm not much for the cold weather, nor am I good at making snowmen!  Instead of a big one we made several small snowmen.

Our driveway was a sheet of ice!

The boys bonded over books while we were stuck in the house.   This time we were stuck in the house Tuesday to Thursday.  I'm SO ready for winter to be over.

Zach ate ice cream for the first time!  He was so cute.

Here is a video of him eating the ice cream cone.

Zach's first time drinking out of a straw.  He had a lot of fun with it but I think he took in a little to much air!  As we were leaving he spit up a little and his belly looked REALLY full.

Alex got to take home Max from school (came with a book and a bucket).  It was a project that helped the kids learn about kindness.  Alex basically was suppose to help fill people's bucket with love and kindness.  He did really good getting the concept and even though it has been several weeks he will still say... I filled your bucket (when he does something nice) or so in so is a bucket dipper (usually Zach when he does something Alex doesn't like).

Alex's new cricket shirt from Ed and Tracy.

Zach has started to get into playing in the kitchen - makes me think of Alex when he first got the kitchen.

Alex is transitioning away from naps.  We've had a hard time getting him down to bed at night when he has taken a night so we started waking him up after 30 minutes.  We had brought him downstairs but he still wanted to sleep so when we left the room he went back to sleep.

Zach and his cousin Spencer playing.

Alex took a nose dive off our bed with his glasses on.  He cried briefly but is getting to be tougher!

Pete and I went out for a date night for Valentine's Day and Maggie and Lucas came over to watch the boys!  Everyone was having a good time, especially mommy and daddy!!
