2 Month Check-up

I'm so immensely proud of our little guy! He was so good at his check-up today. He had to get three shots and even though he gave a good cry (more tears than I have ever seen come out of his eyes) he recovered quickly. He was smiling before I was even able to get his clothes on him.

As we suspected he is getting tall. He is now 23 1/2 inches (up from 21 inches at his 3 week appointment). That puts him in the 71 percentile (this is a big jump from his last height check). Could Alex be taller than his dad?!?!?! Time will tell! He weights 11 pounds, 9 ounces - which is only the 45 percentile. I said maybe he will be the next Randy Johnson - only much, much better looking!! :)

Alex - 2 months

Alex turned 2 months today and I thought it was about time to update the blog. He is getting so big and really developing. Between the 7th and 8th week her started to smile (at more than just gas). He is also more engaged with us as well and making more cute noises. We go for our 2 month shots Friday and I'm a little scared. I'm sure the shots will hurt me more than they will hurt him.

We have also been looking for daycare. I have sat in on two different daycares. It is going to be hard putting him in daycare but again I'm sure it will be harder on me then him!

I have divided them into Miscellaneous, Smiles, Sleeping, Out and About, Sports gear, and Davies' kids.

If you can open up another window and compare this picture to the 1 month post - I took an almost identical picture (only difference is his size and his socks).

Maybe this guy will become his best buddy!

I love this picture!!! They were getting ready to watch the Notre Dame game - unfortunately it didn't turn out the way they would have liked. :(

He is still not loving tummy time. I think this day he was a little tired so he took a break to chew on his hand.

Just a cute picture - the hat is still a little big and not much use at this point but I think he will look good in a hat.

A friend sent me this picture - it is a street that is pretty close to our house.

He has been trying really hard lately to get his thumb in his mouth. Every once in awhile he succeeds but it doesn't last long.

Smiles

This is one of the first days I noticed he was kind of smiling. Couldn't really capture it that well with my camera but this is when it all started!!

He is getting good at smiling now. He even responds to you with a smile sometimes. His favorite place to smile is on the changing table. Second favorite is on his play mats.

I've caught him almost giggling a couple times. It is so fun!!

Sleeping

GG sleeping might be a little staged! :)

sleeping

I LOVE this picture - he was taking a nap at Aunt Lisa's house.

He thought the 1st Gator game was a little boring!

Out and About

Alex's first meal out - PF Chang's - not to shabby!

Alex's first trip to the mall.

Just a cute picture of Alex in the car.

Alex's first outing in his jogging stroller.

Just another cute car picture.

Sports gear

Alex has a ton of sports gear. Several of each team. Of course the best one is his Gator outfit!! :) They are 2 and 0 on Alex's watch!

Bears!! 1 and 0

Unfortunately he is 1 and 1 in his ND gear but I thought they did a good job in the loss to Michigan.

Cubs (he is a supporter of the Cubs but a REAL White Sox fan)

White Sox

Even though Alex has now arrived I can't neglect my favorite niece and nephew!
Lea showing Trent some love.

Spider Woman!
