Bears vs Falcons aka Anniversary Weekend

Our 1 year wedding anniversary coincided with the Bears vs Falcons game this year. So instead of celebrating our anniversary we celebrated the Bears (even if they didn't fare all that well). Mike, Megan, Pieper, and Despina all came to town for the festive event.

Mike looking like a little kid on our new couch!

Pieper, Despina, and Tim discussing the finer points of football in the south.

Bears fans!!

Pete and Mike taking on some strangers in a game of Cornhole. Of course they won!! Ask Pete to tell you the story about the U-haul in the back ground - it is a funny one.

Our first guest in our new home happy before the Bears game started!

Our one year anniversary pose!! I was really cheering for the Bears but the free hat was keeping my head warm. It got pretty cold out there before the game.

We had nice seats on the 40 yard line!!

Pre-Halloween Event

Real quick before we get to the Halloween pictures...

Lisa sent me some pictures of Lea at the zoo. They just bought an annual pass so over the next year you will probably see a lot of zoo pictures.

Lea and Lisa came up to Alpharetta to hang out with me at the Farmer's Market and the American Legions Pumpkin Patch!

Here is a big pumpkin I tried to get Lea to pick up!

She wasn't able to pick it up... go figure! But she made a good effort, with grunts and all.

Of course she had to try and touch all the balloons, along with all the pumpkins.

She had to make her way through all the pumpkins to get to the balloon attached to the sign.

Cheeseeeeee....

I want this one mommy!

...or maybe this one...

I was trying to get her to salute - this is the best I could get!

This is one of my favorite pictures. Lisa told Lea that she had to hold either my hand her mommy's hand in the parking lot. Lea said... "No, I'm going to hold my hand!". So she walked through the parking lot holding her own hand!!! Too funny!!!!

This was a picture Lisa sent me at the end of their trip home. She almost made it all the way home with out incident, but at the end got a hold of a couple of markers and went to town on herself!!

Lea was having a lot of fun running up and down the aisles!! She probably could have spent a couple hours running if we let her!!

Lea just being cute!!

Gators vs Vols

Although the game wasn't a runaway liked we had hoped we still pulled out a nice win against Tennessee. We also had a lot of fun with Lea and Julia.

Lea in her Gator cheerleading outfit with her Gator close by!

Julia trying to decide if she can wear two different outfits!

She decided to stick with one and let Lea wear the other.

Come on girls smile...

Okay Lea, maybe not that much cheese!!

Random Pictures

Lisa has sent me some random dress up pictures. I thought they were cute so I've posted them below.

Lea as Snow White!

Lea as a dancing Ladybug!

The BIG Move

On September 11th we closed on our house and on September 12th we moved into the house! Our brother-in-law Tim and friend Denise helped us load the truck from storage. It is amazing how much quicker things went with a couple additional people. We got the truck loaded and to the house in time to hook up the new TV and watch the Gator game as we unpacked.

Lea was a big help unpacking!! She was so cute - she'd go to the edge of the truck with her hands up waiting for us to hand her something. I tried to find as many light things as I could because she'd throw a fit if we didn't give her something to carry. Here are some of the shots below.

Once she caught sight of the boy next store she wasn't as productive. They had a stare off - it was so cute!!

After the unpacking it was time to head inside to watch the Gator game and play in/with the TV box.

I got in on the fun as well.

Not sure why they cut a big window in the box but it helped her get in and out of the box.

Mom wasn't aloud in the box!

Lea even had snack time in the box.

We are really going to miss living with Tim, Lisa, and Lea. We made lots of memories and were able to bond!!
