Alex - 21 months

Hello everyone!!  Hope everyone is doing well.  I have really enjoyed seeing Alex grow as of late.  If you haven't heard he had tubes put in his ears on April 18th and I'm all ready starting to see the differences.  He is attempting to talk more all ready.  It still isn't always clear what he is saying but I'm hoping over time he will improve on that.  He still wakes up before 7am (was really hoping the tubes would help him sleep in :)) but maybe over time he will start sleeping later.

This past month we enjoyed a visit from GG and Grandpa Cooley.  Alex interacted more with them this visit then ever.  It was fun to see.  Hope you enjoy all the great pictures.

Lisa sent me a picture of Lea at her first soccer game.  Thought I would include it here since she is looking so cute.  If you haven't heard Lea is going to get another brother at the end of August.  She is excited to remain the princess of the castle.

Cute picture of Alex, kicking it in the car.

Me and Alex at the park with the horses.

We made Easter mask when Lea and Trent came to visit.  This is Alex and Lea in the picture above.  Alex wasn't so crazy about wearing it but Lea loved it.

Lea and Trent with their mask on.  I couldn't get a good one of all three of them.

Alex and I went up to a little fair at a local school.  He was enjoying the little chicks.

Alex eating his first popsicle.

Alex smelling the flowers.  He doesn't discriminate between real or fake.

Alex doing a little shopping at the Dollar Tree.

Alex enjoyed mowing the cement way more then mowing the grass.

He really enjoyed helping Daddy take out the garbage.  See video above.

This is what I saw when I was getting into the van at work.  Notice the deer in the front seat.

The changing room at the gym is freezing after you get out of the pool.  Trying to keep Alex warm while I got dressed.  He was enjoying it.  We just finished up a month of swimming lessons at the gym. He has gotten really good at blowing bubbles and kicking his legs.  We still need to work on the arms but we have all summer to do that!!

We were on a walk the other day and Alex insisted on getting out of the stroller.  He ended up walking from the front of our neighborhood to our house (almost a 1/2 mile).  Several times I tried to put him back in the stroller and he fought me on it.  Maybe Alex will love to walk/run like his cousin Lea.

Baby birds in a tree in our front yard.

About a week later - the birds were much bigger.

Alex enjoying a day at the park.

Alex sweeping the house - one of his favorite past times.

Along with my parents the Davies' came over for an Easter Celebration.  Alex and Lea love each other so much - it is too cute.  Trent doesn't mind because Lea keeps Alex busy so Trent can play with all of Alex's toys.

Right before the egg hunt.

GG helping Alex out.

But he didn't need any help.

See his stash!!

This is Trent's smile!

Alex's smile.  He was just happy mom let him have some candy (well it wasn't full candy but as close as he has come to candy - fruit snacks).

The sisters

GG and the grand kids (at least the ones that could sit up on their own).

Grandpa with Naomi Sky

Our neighbors (I mean the Easter Bunny) left about 30 eggs in our front yard Easter Morning.  It took Alex 3 tries (and some help from mom) to get them all picked up.

Check out Alex and Dad at the park...

Alex - 20 months

This month Alex and I went on our own to Houston. It was real fun to hang out with my good friends, Alex's new friends, and family. There are lot of great pictures and videos below from the trip.

Alex's big feet!!

The kids shot. Do you know how hard it is to get 8 kids under 6 to stand still long enough for a picture?

Much easier to get a good one of the ladies.

After playing outside all morning we headed to the zoo.

Alex likes to look but he definitely doesn't want to touch

This is the closest he got.

Luke was not scared at all. He went right to work grooming the animals.

The boys in the bath.

Then we head over to Aunt Tobi's house. Oh so much to do there!!

Alex really enjoyed walking Lady, that is until a school bus went by...
