Alex 3 years 2 months/Zach 9 months

We are slowly starting to learn what it means for summer to end.  Alex started back at his second year of pre-school.  He has several of the same kids in his class and he is quickly developing new 'girlfriends'.  This year so far it is Cammie!  Every day he walks into class and says 'Where's Cammie'.  He tells me that we should invite her over for a play date.  One of the other mom's from his class tells me her son is always talking about Alex, so when I ask Alex if he is playing with Sean too, he says no just Cammie!  Alex is a ladies man.  When Cammie isn't there he has his back-up Lucia.

Alex's new hard hat and tool belt!

Zach ready for the football season to start!

Zach loves the hard hat too!

Cheese!  Alex's new funky hair!

Happy Zach!

We stopped by Alex's old daycare the other day so he could see his girlfriend Annabelle!d  She was very happy to see him.  It was so cute on the playground some of the boys were playing a little rough with Alex and Annabelle was so protective of him.  She went up to the teacher kind of crying that they were being mean to Alex (they weren't really being mean - they were just excited to see Alex and holding his hand and running a little faster than Alex could keep up)!  So cute!

Happier Zach!

Labor Day weekend Alex's friend Lucas (my friend Avery's son) came to town for a visit!  We had a great time playing all weekend!

Alex got some new shoes made him look older to me!!  My baby is slowly growing up!!

So not sure if most of you know but Alex has had some issues with his eyes.  We have been wearing a patch on his strong eye 2 - 4 hours a day and the doctor was thinking we were going to have surgery.  Last time we went in he said we might be able to avoid the surgery and he prescribed glasses (see below).  Hopefully that will help to correct things!!

Shhhh don't tell Alex that Zach has Woody!

Alex helping me out with a little grocery shopping!

Video:  Zach and his army crawl.  Zach is getting around really good and he keeps getting faster.  He has started rocking on his hands and knees a few times so I'm sure the real crawling is coming soon.  It is so interesting to see how the boys are different from one another.  Alex hardly got into anything and we barely did baby proofing.  It will be a completely different story with Zach!  His current favorite is electrical outlets and the cords plugged into them!

Beautiful butterfly at the park.

Love this picture!!  My boys!!

Alex 3 years 1 month/Zach 8 months

What a great month this was!  Alex had a fun birthday party at Great Play and we had an amazing trip up to Chicago.  We drove the 12 hours to Chicago and the boys couldn't have been better travelers.  We had so much fun with friends and family!  Alex also went to his first baseball game!!

Alex got a new Dora cup and he was so excited to use it he insisted on washing it himself... for 20 minutes... it was the cleanest Dora cup ever.

We had some family fun time at the pool.

Alex mowed the yard - like daddy!

We had a great time at Alex's Birthday party.  Doing the party somewhere else where either people take care of everything is the WAY to go!!!!

Christina and Matt welcomed their first boy (second child) to the family.  River Hall Nunez 7/29/13, 7.5 lbs and 20 inches long.

First stop on our family trip to Chicago - NaNa's and a ride around her new place on Daddy's back?  What kid hasn't ridden on their dad's back!!

It was so cute how all the kids played with each other.  Alex was in love with Lizzy and followed her around most of the afternoon.

Third stop... Pieper's in the city.  Alex pulling Lukas on the tractor!

The boys had a blast on their ride.

I thought Lukas was going in for a hug here but he was actually just running his car along the back of Alex!  :)

Such a great picture of the boys!!!
