Alex 36 months and Zach 7 months

We had a few visitors in town this past month.  Tom and Renee came to town for a long weekend.  Then Nancy, Lauren, and the Lonergan's came to town for Zach's baptism.  July is always a fun month as well since both Alex and I celebrate our birthdays in July.

Alex continues to do really good with the potty training.  Here was a cute one I couldn't resist taking!

Grandpa Mikos and NaNa got Alex an awesome grill for his birthday!

Of course no trip to the mall is complete without a ride on the train.  Olivia, Ella, Alex and even Lauren enjoyed it.

And don't forget the Marry go Round!

Zach's first time in the pool, and he liked it!

Alex's wasn't so sure but he eventually got in!

Alex 35 months/Zach 6 months

This month was a BIG month!  A lot happen (even though I don't have a ton of pictures).  Alex finished his first year of preschool, Zach turned 6 months, Alex is now potty trained, and we went to visit the Nunez's!!

We were suppose to take tennis lessons with a little girl from his class but before we could get started the family was relocated to Canada.  Thankfully Alex still enjoys using the racket and we will eventually have to sign him up for lessons.

Video:  What a swing - he needs to work on watching the ball but he did actually end up hitting a few balls.  Maybe he has a future as a tennis star, time will tell.

Pete has taken up a new hobby... perfecting the art of making pizzas!  I have to say he is doing really good at it.  He makes a great Chicago deep dish and a hand tossed pizza.  Come for a visit and check it out!!!

Alex having fun at Home Depot!

Alex reading the gossip mags!

We had a great visit with the Nunez's!  The have an awesome new house with plenty of room to play!  If you haven't heard they welcome their second (a boy) at the end of July!

Alex and Naomi getting clean!

Uncle Matt and Alex planting some seeds.

Our outing for the weekend - a trip to the mall.

Alex did really good on the drive up and he also was really good about sharing a room with his little brother (even though Zach woke up a couple times during the night) that we got him a special treat!  He picked a nice baseball and glove.  He has really gotten into the White Sox as of late.  Can't wait to share an awesome video of him singing the White Sox song next month!

Zach (6 mo) and Naomi (15 mo).  I don't think it will be long before Zach is bigger than his cousin!

My White Sox fans!

Enjoying my last day of breast feeding Zach!  I was sad the bonding time was over but happy to get my body back!!

Alex enjoying time with his classmates at a birthday party!

ZACH!!!!!

Cousin LOVE!!

It had been awhile since I have posted pictures of Pete and I!  Hopefully next year this time I'll look a lot slimmer!!

Spencer in the dog house!!

Alex trying on some running shoes.  They were a little too big!!

A backwards batting helmet

Zach not feeling so good.  He ended up having a bacterial infection that took two round of antibiotics to  cure!  :(  He is finally back to himself!!

Last picture of Alex in diapers!!

So the biggest news of all is ALEX is potty trained!!!  Pete and I could not be more proud of him.  He had 3 accidents the first day, 2 the second day and then from then on he hasn't really had an accident.  I did try and get aggressive and have him potty trained day and night the first weekend but I decided for my sanity (was all ready sleep deprived due to Zach's issues) I would put him in pull-ups after the third night.  But for all intensive purposes he is potty trained day and night because it has been awhile since he has wet his pull-up.  Alex continue to amaze us how well he transitions through big milestones in his life!!
