Alex 4 years 9 months/Zach 28 months

Still trying to get caught up.  Here are the pictures/videos from March and April...

This is at the American Legion by our house.  It is nice to have this place within walking distance of our house.  There is also a nice baseball field at the American Legion and this year on of the local private schools was playing there while their stadium was under construction.  They ended up winning the State Championship so that was fun to see the crowds up there as that happen.

My budding music artist!

Our scary Easter picture.  Zach was too scared to get in the picture by himself but for several months later he kept asking to go see the Easter Bunny!

Christina and Matt welcomed their 3rd child, Rooney on March 22nd!

Zach loves to get his hair cut!

Taking a break from the hunt.

Alex showing off his eggs.

Alex and Lucas.  My friend Avery and son Lucas came to visit us for the weekend.

Zach's 3rd scare on his face in less than a year!  He has two on his forehead and one just above his lip.  This kid does not stop for anything.  He even fell half way down the stairs the other day and while mom and dad were freaking out, he cried briefly then went on his business.  Shortly after that he was playing on the stairs again.

Zach is obsessed with Garbage Trucks!  He now has 3 and LOVES them all!

We can only get Zach to go to the bathroom every now and then.  This week he was into standing up and going (sorry couldn't resist posting - his bottom is just so cute).  He did that for a week and I haven't been able to get him to go standing up or sitting down for the past 2 months.  This is going to be a fun one to potty train!

Nana's Easter present!  Don't they look handsome!

We have some awesome neighbors that put out eggs each year in our yard!  The youngest one goes off to college next year so I wonder if it will finally come to an end!  :(

Zach is helmet challenged.

In April my Uncle Jeff got married to Camille on the 11th.  The pictures below are from the weekend.

 Rehearsal.

Front of the house my grandma use to live in and the one we would visit each summer growing up.  About 5 or so years ago they sold it and moved up the hill a little further.

The only catch for the weekend.

Zach is ready to swim.

When I was in Oklahoma I brought the boys back a little present.  This is where my dad went to undergrad!

Alex 4 years 8 months/Zach 27 months

We had snow again in Atlanta but nothing as bad as last year.  Zach was a little more into the snow this year but only for about 10 minutes then he wanted to go inside.

The brief time Zach enjoyed and started playing in the snow.

But as soon as he got cold, the fun and games were over quickly!  As you can see in the back ground Alex actually enjoyed 'shoveling' the snow.  So at least I'll have one good helper if we ever move north.

Alex got a kick out of my talent in the snow!  :)

Zach is all about the shades!

We were getting a bit of cabin fever so we decided to stop by Peter's office and then head to the mall. The kids loved playing on the phone and the computer.

This makes me think of something you'd see in India!  :)

BEARS!!!

Just watching a little TV!

Ole!

I have been traveling to Cincinnati every 6 weeks or so for work.  It has been kind of nice to get out in the real world and have a night or two break from being mom.  It was really cold the last week of January and a huge storm blew in at night.  You can see the time lapse of the snow fall.  This was over maybe a 4 hour period.

Alex 'working' on his bike!

Alex 4 years 7 months/Zach 26 months

When Alex was born almost 5 years ago I got in a good groove of updating my blog monthly.  For 41/2 years I didn't miss a monthly update.  Well life has finally gotten too busy and I have missed 4 post.  I'm really sad about it but that is life.  Work for Peter and I has been out of control.  The only reason I'm actually able to get a post in is because my work network has been down all day and I finally finished my meetings for the day.  So I'm happy to be back and hoping to get caught up before summer is over.

Looking back 4 months ago at the pictures it is almost hard to believe it has only been 4 months.  I feel like the kids have really grown in that short span of time.  I couldn't believe in this post that I was adding a picture of Zach's first night in a big boy bed, he is such a pro at the big boy bed it makes it feel like it was much more than just 4 months ago.

Cousin time!!  Both my sister and I have gotten far to busy with our jobs so sadly we don't get together but ever 3 or 4 months!  Hopefully this will change soon because the kids love getting together.  Above is Trent, Alex and Lea and below is Spencer, Alex, and Lea.  I can't believe my niece is 8, she is becoming such a big girl!!

Dad's barber shop now open for business!!  Pete recently got some new clippers and both Alex and him have been taking advantage or it.

Final product!

Back when it was cold!!  My littlest White Sox fan!

Crazy hair and glasses!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Zach!  Looks much older than he is in this picture!  My little tough guy!

Chillin' by the pool!

Zach's first night in a big boy bed.  I had been worried that this transition wasn't going to go well but he truly amazed me.  When it is night time he gets in bed and doesn't get out until I come get him in the morning, and that is still the case 4 months later!!  So proud of him!!

Alex and the bear!

This was my deal of the century!  Found it at Kohl's for less than $4.  It is way to big but he will grow into it!!  It must have been a Christmas gift return that they thought no one would buy!!  Kohl's loss is my gain!!!  GO BLACK HAWKS!!
